
The Role
As Director of Corporate Marketing Services, you will form part of the Corporate Management Team which is the Senior Management Team at Anglia Ruskin University.
You will play a key role in developing the strategy of our university, communicating with internal and external stakeholders as well as translating strategy into deliverables through the management of multi-functional teams.
You will be a dynamic, high-level strategist with a proven ability to work in a plural, politically complex environment. You will exude bags of enthusiasm, passion, innovation and creativity and you will bring your experience of managing multi-functional teams to this role.

Specific Challenges for the RoleWe are in a period of dramatic change for those involved in the Marketing Function within UK universities. Against a back-drop of 'capped' HEFCE numbers and a recession, the ability to replace Government funding sources with other income streams is ever important. The Marketing Function will play a critical role in seeking out what the customer wants in terms of product (defined as the total student experience) and pricing, and provide it to the client in a manner which leaves them, at the very least, highly satisfied with the result.
In practical terms, these marketing deliverables include the following:- To continue to raise, and manage, our profile and reputation with opinion formers, influencers and decision-makers that includes staff, stakeholders and the media
- To continually improve work with Faculties to raise undergraduate and postgraduate student intake by providing a range of high quality events that promote courses to target audiences
- To lead on provision of a robust, evidential base upon which our university's activity can be developed with confidence
- To further improve our customer service at the Admissions Office
- We want to ensure that our marketing activities are cutting edge and innovative and that we put high-quality customer service along with our values at the heart of all we do.
